While the Pinnacle Pro 901 series printer may use the least expensive black cartridge on the market, I find that they dry out very quickly.
If I have to buy more of them, and get less use out of them, then they aren't the bargain I was initially promised when I bought the printer, are they?
I am not happy with these cartridges.
This is an ongoing problem for consumers everywhere - we are getting the shaft on having to purchase these cartridges. It is almost cheaper to scrap the printer and buy a new one, rather than refill black & color cartridges.
Well, that's my $.02 on the subject.

I had an HP printer that worked perfectly fine except for the astronomical ink prices on very small capacity cartridges. After lots of research I decided on the Lexmark Pro901 to replace it. The ink cartridges that came with it were full-sized, so they lasted a long time. Even with 2 middle school kids at home doing a lot of printing, I didn't have to replace the ink for 9 months!! Sold! And when I did order, I got a great price from Amazon. Of course, like always, I received the order lightning-fast. I ordered on a Saturday around noon and received it Monday afternoon. How do they do that? To make the color ink last longer, we print in black ink only as a default, but do use the color often for their many projects. The black ink is SUPER inexpensive and goes and goes. I can't believe the value!

Great cartridges, always have liked Lexmark products, I've had great luck with them. I know others who haven't but that's not been my experience. These could be cheaper though.
